All is now set for Seyi Tinubu, Falz, Yemi Alade, D’Banj and other Nigerians and many more illustrious young Africans below 40 years, who are doing well in their respective industries both within and outside the shores of the continent to be honored at the 73rd UN General Assembly in New York.
The award, Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) Under 40 Years, which is at the instance of the International Decade for People of African Descent, proclaimed by United Nation’s General Assembly resolution 68/237 and to be observed from 2015 to 2024, identifies high achievers of African descent in public and private sectors from all around the world.
MIPAD is a unique global list that identifies, in total, 200 outstanding individuals under 40 years, with 100 inside Africa, and another 100 in the Diaspora. It cut across 4 categories; Politics & Governance, Business & Entrepreneurship, Media & Culture, Humanitarian & Religious.
Though, this year’s edition is not the first, but the honorees as involved in the class of 2018, has so many Nigerians that are visibly doing well in their respective fields. The likes of Seyi Tinubu, who is the Chairman/CEO of Loatsad Promomedia, one of Africa’s leading digital outdoor advert agency, he has shown over the time that there is no limit to what you can achieve by putting your best into your works, he also recently start a process whereby he will give back to the people only by helping meaningful project through his Seyi Tinubu Empowerment Project (STEP).
The event which also has amongst the honorees popular Nigerians and others like; Kendrick Lamar, French Motana, Folarin Falana (Falz), Dapo Oyebanjo (D’Banj), Yemi Alade, Omotola Jalaade Ekehinde, Dakore Akande, Stella Damascus, Bankole Wellington (Banky W) and Adesua Etomi, Audu Makori (CEO Chocolate City), Tolu Ogunlesi (P.A. New Media to Nigerian President), Bella Disu (Nee Adenuga) Chude Jideonwo and many others who are doing well in their different field of callings, will be held in New York, United States from 28th September to 4th October.
