Sheikh Habeebullah Adam Al-Ilory, the administrator of Markaz Agege Arabic and Islamic Training Institute, Lagos, suffered a stroke during a sermon in Ilorin, Kwara State.
It was learnt that the incident happened last Thursday during the wedding ceremony of a daughter of an erstwhile Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Salhiu Modibbo Alfa Belgore.
It was gathered that Habeeb who dressed to the occasion in a white Agbada and green cap had barely started the sermon when he collapsed.
According to an eyewitness, who gave his name as Yinusa, the whole scenario lasted for about two hours after the cleric arrived at the event.
At the event, minutes before Sheikh Habeeb collapsed Per Daily Trust, Habeeb was admitted at the Stroke Unit of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH). He is currently at the place.
It is understood that he is getting better.
