In the street of America, two ladies had engaged in a fight in an argument over a man. The pictures and video which were shared on social media show two black American women fight dirty and physical.
It was learned that the fight started as a result of a misunderstanding between the two ladies over the same man who they fell in love with at the shopping mall.
This is not only ridiculous but disgraceful. People should learn decorum and self-control in public. This is an avoidable mistake on the side of the ladies. As a lady, how can you engage in a fight over a man you both newly met at a shopping mall the same day? The man has gone and the two are killing themselves over him. Lessons should be learned. Respect and self-dignity are supposed to be the watchword.
This fight began seriously between the two ladies without anybody knowing the born of contention. Some ladies tried to settle the issue but no way.
That is what happens when there is no self-discipline. There are many lessons to learn from here. Respect and high self-esteem can make one of them walk away at the heat of the argument. This is not limited to ladies, men also engage in such shame and displays and even more bloody at times.
Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has reacted to the gruesome murder of Mr. Ahmed Gulak, a former political adviser to former president, Goodluck Jonathan.
It was earlier reported that Gulak was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Ngor-Okpala LGA of Imo state on Saturday evening. Akeredolu described the killing as ‘senseless’.
“The news of the death of an APC chieftain and former Special Adviser on Political Matters in the last Administration, Ahmed Gulak, in Owerri, Imo State, this morning, is very shocking and disturbing. The details of the tragic incident remain sketchy. A press statement credited to the Imo State Police Command claimed that some bandits were responsible for the gruesome murder of a man who was a visitor to the State. This is unacceptable.”
“This is one murder too many. It is senseless and wicked. The perpetrators of this heinous act are enemies of this country. This contrivance is meant to mislead, confuse and destroy. It bears the unmistakable, despicable imprints of fifth columnists bent on setting the country on the path of conflagration. These criminals must not be allowed to succeed.”
“We want to use this medium to express our solidarity with our brother Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma. We admonish him and other Governors in the South Eastern States to brace up, and confront the current security challenge to put an end to the bloodbath in the land. The enemies of the people always employ the weapon of fear to create disaffection in the polity.”
He added that the killing was calculated at instigating Nigerians against each other.
“This cowardly act is calculated to instigate Nigerians against each other, particularly Northerners, against the Igbo living outside the South East. We must confront the enemies of the people with a view to neutralizing them. This is definitely not the time for political correctness. Banditry should not be allowed to subvert the legitimacy of the current Government at all levels.”
“We call on all security agencies to collaborate with a view to unveiling the criminal elements sponsoring and undertaking terrorist acts. they must be punished, severely.”
Tompolo gives Buhari’ 7 days ultimatum to inaugurate NDDC board
EX-MILITANT leader, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, on Sunday, issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to inaugurate the substantive Board of the Niger – Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
Tompolo, Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw nation, in a statement, said: “I wish to call on Mr. President, members of the National Assembly and security agencies to work towards the constitution of the substantive board of the NDDC, within a few days, to avert a total breakdown of law and order that will equally affect crude oil exploration and exploitation activities in the region.
His words: “I hereby proclaim a seven- day ultimatum starting the date of this publication to inaugurate the substantive board of the Commission.”
“Senator Akpabio’s temporal reprieve from the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) protest is a child’s play compare to what is to come in a few days. He is about to be awakened to the rage of the Niger Delta region,” he warned.
The ex-militant leader, who had remain silent in the creeks of Delta state after Federal High Court, Lagos, dismissed the charges against him, stated: “I have watched and observed with keen interest the circumstances surrounding the constitution of the NDDC board for some time now. I would have continued to keep watching and observing, but for love of the region and the country.”
“The continuous running of NDDC by a sole administrator at the instance of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Akpabio, is undemocratic and anti-development, hence unacceptable to the people of the region. The people of the region are averse to a one man show in a commission that is supposed to attend to the developmental needs of nine states, namely, Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo and Rivers. It will likely set the region on fire, sooner than later.
“The Act establishing the Commission provided among other things that it will be administered by a Board comprising of a Chairman, Managing Director, Executive Directors and Commissioners who will be drawn from the nine states that made up the region.
“However, this provision has been blatantly undermined by Senator Godswill Akpabio and his co-travelers in the Presidency. There is no provision for either Interim Management Committee or Sole Administration in the Act that establishes NDDC.
“Common sense will tell you that the so called forensic audit that has been used by Senator Akpabio to strangle the commission and it could still be best conducted with a substantive board that brings all representatives from the nine states and other parts of the country,” he added.

According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the military has been battling various security challenges occasioned by the activities of Boko Haram terrorists, armed bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal elements.

A misunderstanding ensued between the entourage of the Emir and some soldiers maintaining security at the entrance of the Depot Nigerian Army, a development that forced the emir to return to his palace.
It was gathered that the soldiers at the gate insisted that the entourage of the emir must put off the royal musical trumpet blazing the area, and this the emir and his entourage found insulting.
However, the commandant of the Depot Nigerian Army, Major General Abubakar Ibrahim, with his lieutenants, later visited the palace to apologise to the emir.
The emir later returned to grace the ceremony.
The POP was scheduled for last Saturday but was postponed to honour the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru, who died in a plane crash in Kaduna.
GOC 1 Mechanised Division, Kaduna, Major General Danjuma Ali Keffi, who served as the Reviewing Officer, also read the speech of the late COAS.
Late Attahiru said the Nigerian Army is determined to defeat all security challenges facing the country, as the Army has been professionally repositioned.
He said, with the passing out of the 80th Regular Recruits, the strength of the Army had been enhanced with the 6,400 soldiers, who have acquired all the professional training that made them combat-ready and efficient.
He urged the recruits to be patriotic in the discharge of their duties, assuring that the Army would not rest on its oars to deal with all criminal especially Boko Haram, armed bandits, kidnappers and IPOB.
