Popular aphrodisiac seller, Hauwa Muhammed, also known as Jaruma, has seen her bail revoked by a upper area court sitting in Zuba, Abuja over her absence in court.
Following the absence of Jaruma in court on Wednesday, the judge ordered that she should be rearrested.
Recall that Jaruma on January 28, was granted bail with a surety on Grade Level 12 within the FCT.
The presiding judge, Ismail Abdullahi Jubril in his ruling stated that the charges filed against Jaruma are bailable.
The court called on the parties involved in the case to maintain decorum and avoid making public comments on social media that would be sub judice.
Jaruma, at the resumption of the case on Wednesday, was absent in the court, with her lawyer, Kayode Ajulo was also absent.
The lawyer when contacted by the court on why Jaruma was not present in court, said he had withdrawn from the case
The development saw the judge stand down the matter, giving Jaruma the benefit of doubt that she could still make it to court before the close of work.
The judge after waiting for three hours issued a bench warrant and ordered her arrest and detention until the next adjourned date.
The judge said her absence in court without reason was an affront and a mockery of the court and judicial process and there was a need for the court to take action.
He also ordered her surety to be present in court on the next adjourned date.
The prosecution lawyer, Inegbinoise Edwin had earlier stated that Jaruma violated the term of her bail.
According to Edwin, Jaruma has been making comments about the case on social media, contrary to the order of the court.
The judge adjourned the case to March 17, 2022, for hearing.
Jaruma was earlier arrested after she claimed that popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels used her product to charm her husband, Ned Nwoko.

Behold the loudmouth of Jerusalem, a vlogger wanna be, ventilating all sort of nonsense and fuming with unfounded stories and FABRICATED LIES, in the act of pull him and the ministry down, something that a thousand of you will and can never do as long as the lord liveth.
As far as you have decided to be a mouthpiece for the devil and Maureen, I will do my investigations and reveal who you truly are and the evil you plan to perpetrate.
I was busy doing my work as an investigative journalist on a subject matter when you joined yourself to an evil line, and as such the fire that was burning touched you and you cried foul.
FUNKE ASHEKUN you are a drama queen, an ingrate that needs deeper deliverance, no wonder the church of God could not contain you. Every denomination you have attended, you speak ill about them, from DEEPER LIFE to MFM, non could change the snake that you are, the ungrateful person that you have revealed yourself to be today.
For your information, I run the one of the biggest online Christian network magazines and my Job is to do publications for a living.
That is, if you understand how it is to do honest work to make a living, since you are used to embezzling church money and running away with properties.
I have never met the GO you are talking about on any subject matter, neither have I had any dealings with him, and same applies to many other churches I do publications about.
I only seek for facts through sources that are reliable and then we bring out the truth. So, for you to call me a media guy to a particular person or pastor shows how ignorant you are.
We have one mission and that is to rid the house of God and the ministry of rats like you and Maureen.
You termed your show TALKING MARRIAGE WITH FUNKE till this moment, i can’t bring to terms, what the relationship of a G.Os church conduct has to do with Marriage that you were supposed to speak about? Anyways, it shows how empty you are and I wonder what you have to say about Marriage and what anyone will be able to learn from a wanna be like you.
Hear this FUNKE, since you have decided to be a spoke person for Maureen and talk nonsense about me, I have decided to open a file for you with a lot more of your intricating characters that will be exposed
The songs you have been singing on your show are not new to our ears but for the sake of young hearted Christians and unstable believers we tend to clear the air always, what you are doing now is just the easy way to fame, and this is what Maureen and her cohorts including your likes did to put them in the trouble that they are today.
We found out that you have been served letters by lawyers to desist from this act of defamation and character assassination but yet you have continued and now you will become our subject matter since you want to be famous and stupid.
Without further ado, I would like to ask certain questions about the things you have been talking about, you have mentioned that the GO is occultic, he is promiscuous and so on. All those without proofs or evidence? You claimed to have video recordings of activities going on in his toilet, we are yet to see any. Is it the counselling room that we learnt is filled with people and nonstop activities? I wonder were you got your stories from and how you got your evidence.
IN YOUR SHOW you stated someone said the GO has a picture of you in his room or the GO keeps pictures of people in his room , please how did the people get to the GOs room?
What led them to the GOs room ?
If I may ask what exactly are you to the ministry that will make a GO put your picture in his room, and what value have you or did you add to the ministry when you were here and before you left?
You were not a pastor neither were you the head of any department according to our investigation you were simply a liability, someone raised by the ministry, so why all these lies?
We have firsthand information that this GO and the ministry catered for you when you were single since 1995 when you came to the ministry till you got married inside the ministry?
You left and came back and left again and as matter of fact you and your family were living in the housing units of the ministry before you absconded to the US with a tourist visa you and your family also got through the church.
FUNKE I will ask these questions again because I probably have asked them before, and I would like you to answer them for the sake of the kingdom and then tell us how the GO has wronged you?
1 Can you provide one single name of a woman that was and has been sexually assaulted during prayers as you alleged in your shows?
2 what virtue or value did you bring to the ministry when you came?
3 when you joined the ministry in 1995 as a liability, who rented a flat for you and your mum at Fola Agoro?
4 What assets did you have when you joined the ministry?
5 Are the records of the moneys you embezzled not with the account department of the church?
5 will you ever have gotten anywhere without the support of the ministry including your overseas trips to the UK and the US?
6 Didn’t you flee with the two cars and furniture in the accommodation you were given by the Church?
7 was it not the ministry that gave you and your husband your first steady employment
8 Could you specifically tell us the glory you brought to the ministry that was stolen?
9 what exactly is your mission with this show of shame that you are putting up
10 Did you not lambast your former church deeper life as a church of witches just like you have started doing with this ministry.
11 Who sponsored your wedding?
12 Who provided shelter and basic provisions for you and your children’s education
13 Can you tell us any group you led while you were in MFM
14 We learnt that your husband took money from the GO for deposit in fidelity and you people never returned the money.
15 Did you return the cars and church properties you were given before you left for your trip?
FUNKE ASHEKUN according to our findings we know that you want to be a GENERAL OVERSEER kindly thread that path and tell us how easy it is, that is, if you are sure of hearing from God. And now that you have fulfilled your childhood dream of wanting to live in AMERICA try and make the best out of life but with the way you are going, only God can help you
We have so many questions to ask since we have opened an investigation on you, but we won’t waste further time on the frivolities of an unstable being who has lost touch with reality, WE ARE AFTER THE TRUTH BECAUSE ONLY THE TRUTH CAN SET US FREE.
And we will unveil the truth about you to the world

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday extended the detention of a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, by 14 days.
The court granted permission to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to hold the embattled Kyari for the period to enable the agency to complete its investigation into the hard drug trafficking allegations against him.
Justice Zainab Abubakar issued the order for Kyari’s further detention while ruling in an ex-parte application argued by the NDLEA counsel, Mr Mike Kassa.
The NDLEA had, in the application, pleaded for more time to detain Kyari on the ground that the hard drug trafficking allegations against the suspect were complex and may require the agency travelling outside the shore of the country to make some clarifications.
The counsel asked the court to grant the detention extension in the interest of justice and to be fair to the suspect too through diligent investigation.
In a short ruling, Justice Abubakar ordered that Abba Kyari be detained for another 14 days.
The judge however ordered that the 14 days further detention should start counting from February 22.
Wema Bank, ADEMOLA ADEBISE ADMONISHES ACCOUNTANTS ON DATA PROTECTION
Mr Ademola Adebise, Managing Director Wema Bank Plc
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Wema Bank Plc, Mr Ademola Adebise, has advised accountants to store data safely and protect them against cybersecurity threats and other criminal breaches.
Adebise said this on Tuesday at the 16th Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Western Accountants Conference themed ‘Digital Economy: Whither the Professional Accountant’ held in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
The MD/CEO who stressed the importance of data storage and security said that accountants in the digital age must be flexible and knowledgeable to save data on storage devices on-premises or in the cloud.
He also noted that in case of loss or data corruption, the 21st-century accountant needs to be conversant with the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) to mitigate loss.
Mr Adebise explained that “a large amount of data is sitting on storage. As accountants, we need to safeguard our storage and be versed in data recovery and business continuity planning should there be a loss or corruption of data.
“The accountant must know contemporary issues on cybersecurity – ensuring that digital information is safe and secure, at all times. Going digital exposes you to risk from hackers. So, as an accountant, you need to have an in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and must know the various data and information security standards to audit the environment.”
Apart from being security conscious and storing data securely, the MD/CEO further noted that modern accountants should understand the changes taking place in the profession, including the evolution from traditional data collection methods.
He said, “these include using Enterprise Resource Planning systems that are interconnected to process data from production, distribution, marketing, and sales. The accountant, therefore, needs to be skilled to understand the complexities, transaction flows of the new ways of doing things and understand what data is saying.”
In Nigeria, the most popular forms of cybercrimes that accountants and other professionals in the financial services sector are susceptible to include fraudulent electronic mails, identity theft, hacking, cyber harassment, spamming and Automated Teller Machine spoofing.
The biggest, however, is still fraud emails. The Nigeria Electronic Fraud Forum (NeFF) revealed that bank customers lost N3.6 billion to cyber-fraud in two years (2017 and 2018).
Data released by the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) also showed attempted fraud in 2018 alone was about N9 billion.
The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has guaranteed Nigerian movie makers free use of trains to shoot their films across the country.
This is as the minister boasts about the exceptional infrastructure development going on under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, which according to him should be showcased to the world.
Amaechi said, “We have to do this because what the president is doing in infrastructure should be shown to the world.
“The president has improved on infrastructure and railway is one of them. We have to grant them that approval of using the train. So that the world we know that we are delivering on our campaign promises.”
Speaking in Abuja yesterday while playing host to the Chief Executive of Native Media, Mr Rogers Ofime and his crew members on a thank-you visit, Amaechi reiterated his resolve to always support movie makers when they needed train service for their shootings.
He advised film producers to strive for quality that would make them compete favourable internationally and boost the nation’s economy.
The Minister pledged support for the shooting of ‘Conversations in Transit’, a contemporary gritty romantic comedy and other movies.
This according to his would promote the good image of the country under the incumbent government.
The minister said that approving the train services for movie producers to use for shooting at no cost was the government contribution to boost the sector.
Amaechi added, “We will continue to improve our infrastructure to make the society grow. Road and railways deal with issues of logistics, even if you manufacture you need better infrastructure.
“The film project is a beautiful idea; it will engage the people meaningfully, provide entertainment and grow the economy.
“We are happy they are doing it and that is why we will be willing to always grant them the approval of the train anytime they wish to use it.”
Amaechi encouraged the filmmakers to strive to become the best in the world, noting, however, that improving to become the world best is not rocket science.
On his part, Ofime thanked Amaechi for approving free train services for the shooting of the film, Conversations in Transit.
Ofime said that the production of the film was informed by his experience of ta rain ride from Lagos to Ibadan, which he described as fascinating.
He said, “When I came to Nigeria from Canada, what fascinated me was the train ride from Lagos to Ibadan and that informed the project I am doing.
“One is to showcase the achievement of the administration and also to let people know of another means of transportation which is very wonderful.
”People have been taking the train ride and the feedback has been really great.”
