Woman kills husband’s nephew with knife

 

A 30-year-old housewife, Cynthia Olukiowu, in the Jafa Agbado area of Ogun State, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing one Habeeb Aremu, 18, a nephew of her husband, to death over a broken mirror.

The woman was arrested on Saturday by policemen attached to Agbado divisional headquarters.

It was learnt that a misunderstanding ensued between the two when a mirror being used in the house got broken and the deceased was alleged to have broken it.

The allegation sparked a heated disagreement between the deceased and the suspect, who allegedly pulled a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the neck. He slumped and died afterwards.

Police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the victim was found in a pool of blood and rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.

 

U.S. Court Postpones Hushpuppi Sentencing, Release New Date

 

The sentencing of self-confessed internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi, has been postponed by the United States District Court till July 11, 2022.
Judge Otis D. Wright in Los Angeles granted the order after the lawyers to Hushpuppi led by Louis Shapiro called for a postponement.

Hushpuppi is expected to remain in custody in the intervening period of the delay.

It was earlier reported that the sentencing of Hushpuppi was previously fixed for February 14 over his fraudulent activities.

Recall that the internet fraudster pleaded guilty last year to the charges, seeking a lighter sentence.

The court document released earlier stats, “At the request of counsel, the sentencing is continued to July 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.”

This is coming after the Police Service Commission ordered the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, to investigate the link between suspended head of the Intelligence Response Team, Abba Kyari and internet fraudster, Abba Ramon, popularly known as Hushpuppi.

The commission directed the IGP to submit the report of the fresh probe in two weeks time for the PSC Standing Committee on Discipline to review.

The decision was reached following the advice of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN.

Edo state police command has declared one Mr Sunday peter a farmer and Michael Osaro, over allegedly involvement in criminal act of kidnapping in the state.
Sunday Peter, a 31years old who reside in Etsako East of Edo state, is from kukawa local government area of Borno state Escaped arrest by men of Nigeria police from Edo state command, on getting the information the state police command mobilised it men on the early hour of 16 December 2014,were alot of the gang members were apprehended, during the raid on their hideout.
The police spokesperson in Edo state command DSP Joseph Edogiawerie who disclosed this to journalists in Benin City Edo state on 19th December 2014.
The police command said in a statement after much of interrogations with the suspects in the custody one Mr kindsley Andrew Yesufu,who basically confessed to the police that Mr Sunday peter age 31,From kukawa local government area of Borno state and Mr Micheal osaro age 27 years from Egor local government area of Edo state, Mr Peter Sunday and Mr Micheal Osaro, has been on the run from the police, when they escaped an arrest on the 16th December.
The gangs was said to have engaged operatives in a gun duel during a rescue operations in a forest last Monday15th December ,2014.
One of the suspects,
Kindsley Andrew Yesufu,in our custody with a fatal bullets wounds gave a confessional statement that his cousin Sunday peter keeps their loots.
When our operatives raid their family residence ,Mr Peter Sunday, and Michael Osaro,escaped but others were unlucky,the release read in parts.
After a long chassing of fleeing suspects Mr Peter Sunday, and Michael Osaro was declared wanted by Nigeria police for kidnapping,the command argue all Nigerias from South,West, North and East to report the fleeing suspects Mr Peter Sunday and Micheal osaro to the nearest police station or any other sister security Agency in the country for possible arrest and prosecution.
The Nigeria constitution ensure that recipients of any proceeds of the act of kidnapping are heavy sectioned with a term of 30 years imprisonment or death penalty.
Speaking with journalists on 19th December in Benin the Nigeria police said that with interrogations with one kindsley Andrew Yesufu, who basically confessed that his counsin Mr Sunday peter, and his in law Micheal osaro, are part of the group, After a long chase of sunday peter and Micheal osaro the Police Declared then wanted on the 19th December 2014 in Benin City Edo state.
In 30th December 2014,the uncle of Sunday peter, make an attempt to escape in the police custody but was shoot on sight by the gallant men of Nigeria police.
