Veteran Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs has stepped out with his wife and veteran actress, Joke Silva to attend the Afriff Global award which was held in Lagos State.
This comes days after news of Olu Jacobs death began to make rounds like wildfire on social media.
In the photos shared by his wife via her social media handle, the 79-year old is looking hale and healthy.
Naija News recalls that Joke Silva, debunked damaging rumors’ that her husband and colleague, Olu Jacobs is dead.
This is coming after fans of the legendary actor expressed concerns over the new look of the 79-year-old actor, as he appeared to have lost a lot of weight.
However, in a chat with The PUNCH, Joke Silva said her husband was hale and hearty.
She said, “Good day good people. Trust you all are good? This is just to inform you that Sir J (Olu Jacobs MFR), as we fondly call him is alive and enjoying his singing lessons. He wants to add dancing but I have advised he wait a bit. So, to all those carrying false rumours, remember it is a criminal offence. Desist or legal action will be taken. Popular Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, professionally known as Mohbad, has been arrested in Cyprus.
The rapper disclosed this after he was stuck at the Cyprus Airport Prison.
He accused the promoter of a show of messing him up.
Mohbad in a post on his Instagram account wrote, “I’ve been stuck at the Cyprus Airport Prison at the Early hours of today November 6, 2021.”
He further stated, “The show promoter fucked me up.”
The talented rapper who performed at some shows in the United Kingdom, arrived in Cyprus for a show before announcing he was arrested in the country.

The singer gave his LV belt to a young boy who sang his song “pree me” word for word during a live performance.

The popular quote Change is constant played itself prominently today in Lagos during the 20 years remembrance of the popular Ilaje Gospel singer Dr. Remilekun Amos whose friends and family gathered to celebrate at Times Square Event Centre in Ikeja when popular hip hop musician Small Doctor took to the stand to dish out songs. This time around he was rendering gospel songs popular with the Ilaje people.
Small Doctor who is known for a different genre of music thrilled guest for minutes with different songs from the Remilekun Amos collection of songs as well as others from other of the same genre.
Findings shows Small Doctor whose real name is Adekunle Temitope is related to Ilaje through her mum and it was based on this he could sing the genre synonymous with the people from that area.
The event which is like a congregation of different gospel musicians has seen established acts like Tope Alabi, Bisi Alawiye-Aluko, Esther Igbekele, Elijah Akintunde and many more performed to celebrate the musician who was missing twenty years ago and has not been found till date.

Revealing how she got into Jaruma’s web page in a lengthy post shared via her Instagram page on Wednesday, the movie star issued a disclaimer stating that she has no business with the popular trader, Jaruma.
The diva claimed that Jaruma paid her to help make a random post to promote her business, adding that she chose to promote the product despite being warned about Jaruma
She said, “This is for clarity’s sake. I have and will never use any kayamata product. Jaruma paid me to help make random posts for her. I personally gave my terms concerning the kind of posts to be made, I was very mindful with my choice of words so as not to mislead the public.
“I was simply creating awareness for her brand. Along the line, we became friends, I was warned severally to keep her at arm’s length and mind my association with her. But it is not in my nature to judge a person from another’s perspective but in her case, I should have known better.”
The mother of one further recounted how Jaruma tried to leverage their relationship to sell her products.
She added, “She constantly uses every opportunity to create content to profit off my person and my brand even after our payment deal expired. I tolerated it because I believed I understood her person and felt I should give her the benefit of doubt and maintain a cordial friendship.
“But this time, I will not tolerate Jaruma using this issue that practically portrays me as a bad person for her selfish desires knowing fully well that I have never and will never do whatever she sells as I have no reason to.
“And this is a notice to my fans and the general public, I and my brand as Regina Daniels have no business/association with Jaruma and her products. Thank you.”
Reacting to Daniel’s post, Jaruma took to her Instagram page @jaruma_empire and said she paid N10m for the former to use her visibility to promote her business.
She wrote, “Jaruma constantly uses every opportunity to create content?Are you serious right now? So why didn’t you also tell the world the price? A whopping N10,000,000. You must be joking Gina.”
Disclosing some of the money she had spent for Regina, she continued, “Break down of the friendship before and after the N10,000, 000. You gave my baby $1,000, I gave your Mum N1m on her birthday. I bought your headphones for N120,000, I paid for your dinner at Sinoki N172,000.
“On Sallah day I gave your
maid Leah N100,000, I gave your driver and police N200,000, I slept by your side in the hospital when you were sick.
“We Went to Laila’s house, there I gave Laila’s driver N100,000, I gave Laila’s house girls N100,000, I gave Lailas police N200,000, I bought your Mum a Lace of N500,000. We had dinner in Sammy’s house, sprayed N100,000.

Nigerian stand up comedian Francis Agoda popularly known as I Go Dye has expressed concerns over the increasing rate of moral decadence going on in society, especially from Nigerian celebrities.

Former ‘Pepper Dem’ housemate, of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, Omashola Oburoh, has revealed that he went through a terrible time while battling with depression.
Oburoh said he was dealing with serious personal issues which forced him to stay away from social media.
He said these on his verified Instagram page @Sholzy23 on Friday.
However, he told his fans that he is currently better and striving to succeed.
He said, “I want to use this medium to thank everybody who checked up on me one way or the other. I’m overwhelmed by your love and support and I sincerely appreciate it. I was dealing with some deep issues but I am making headways and better now by God’s Grace. Thank You.”
Oburoh’s post came four days after he hinted that he was going through depression and was gradually reaching his breaking point.
He had said, “They say in your youth, depression is mostly peer pressure and the strife to not want to be left behind. In old age, depression is a bucket full of regrets and it is worse than the former.
“Thank God I’m still young but a lot of pressure. I’m lonely in a world surrounded by people. Trying to keep my cool but slowly reaching my breaking point.”

American actor, Alec Baldwin, has accidentally killed a film crew member and injured another after firing a prop gun on the set of the movie “Rust”.
According to CNN, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s office has released a statement saying the victim, a director of photography, Halyna Hutchins, 42, was transported to the hospital via helicopter and pronounced dead by medical personnel at University of New Mexico Hospital.
The movie’s director, Joel Souza, 48, was transported to Christus St. Vincent’s Regional Medical Center by ambulance for care. Details on his condition were not released.
“According to investigators it appears that the scene being filmed involved the use of a prop firearm when it was discharged. Detectives are investigating how and what type of projectile was discharged,” the statement read.
The law enforcement agency said the investigation remains open and active and no charges have been filed.
“Rust” is a Western film set in the 1880s that stars Baldwin, Travis Fimmel and Jensen Ackles.
Alec Baldwin is known for movie like “It’s Complicated, Still Alice, The Aviator” and two of the ‘Mission Impossible movies, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Mission: Impossible – Fallout.’
