At the Special Charity Sunday Service held at the International Headquarters of Grace Nation Worldwide, Ojodu-Berger, Lagos, tears of joy flowed freely as hundreds of members were lifted out of hardship through financial grants, business empowerment, Accommodations support and relief materials.

It was practical Christianity at its peak. Widows, orphans, students, artisans, and less-privileged families were all beneficiaries of the large-heartedness of the Chris Okafor Humanity Foundation.

The Foundation, over the years, has continued to discover hidden talents among youths, bring them closer to God, and empower them to be self-reliant and productive members of the society.

THE MYSTERY OF MERCY AND PRAYER IN THE HOLY GHOST
Delivering his sermon at the service, the Generational Prophet of God unveiled deep spiritual mysteries.

Teaching on Human Spirit, The Man of God said: “It takes misery to demystify misery. When mercy speaks, misery disappears. A man may be qualified, connected
and talented, but without mercy, he will still struggle. May mercy speak for you today.”

On the power of praying in the Spirit, the Man of God declared The most effective prayer is praying in the Holy Ghost. When you pray in the Holy Ghost, you are praying beyond human intelligence you are praying the perfect will of God. Holy Ghost prayer provokes speedy answers.”

The congregation erupted in intense prayers in the Holy Ghost, as the atmosphere was charged with raw presence of God.

The Charity Sunday ended with thanksgiving, and emotional testimonies from beneficiaries who could not hold back their gratitude to God and to the Generational Prophet for his large heart.

Indeed, Grace Nation continues to set the pace in balancing spirituality with social responsibility.

Dr Chris Okafor Withdraws Earlier Apology

The Generational Prophet and Senior Pastor of Grace Nation Worldwide, Dr Chris Okafor, has withdrawn the public apology he recently issued in response to allegations made against him by a faded actress and certain social media influencers.

The allegations claimed, among other things, that he had promised marriage to an aggrieved woman. Dr Okafor has consistently described the claims as untrue.

Explaining his initial decision to apologise, the cleric said the move was made in an effort to calm tensions and shield his mentors and spiritual fathers, whom he said were being unfairly attacked on social media without verified facts. He also noted that conflicting advice from some associates influenced his earlier stance.

However, after reviewing the interpretation and implications of the apology, Dr Okafor stated that he concluded it was inappropriate to apologise for actions he insists he did not commit.

“If there was any apology, I withdraw it,” he said. “The allegations against me are false and amount to blackmail. It is wrong for me to apologise for what I did not do.”

He further expressed confidence that the truth has begun to emerge, adding that he would refrain from making further comments as the matter is now before the court.

“The court will determine who is lying and who is blackmailing,” he said.
April 16, 2026, has been fixed by the High Court of Nigeria for a final declaration on the matter.

Eyewitness accounts state that Dr. Okafor lifted his voice in prayer, saying, “My Father and my God, I am in this plane; let this siege stop in Jesus’ name.” Shortly afterward, the faulty engine was restored, and the aircraft landed safely.

At an “Enough Is Enough” open crusade some years ago, heavy rainfall threatened to disrupt the event. As attendees began seeking shelter, Dr. Okafor instructed everyone to remain calm. Sunday service of December 21, 2025, at Grace Nation International aka Liberation City, is a special day since it coincides with the wedding thanksgiving service of the Senior Pastor and International Prophet, Dr. Chris Okafor which was held at the Church headquarters in the Berger area of Lagos, attracting over 8,000 congregants.

The newly wedded Pastor had shared during the service stating that prosecution is one of the criteria to identify God’s followers, explaining that Jesus was also persecuted for healing the afflicted, reading from the gospel according to Matthew 9, he explained that since we are Christ-like, we should also be expecting antagonism.

Dr. Chris Okafor, however stated that Matthew 11 vs 6 where Jesus states, “Blessed is the one who is not offended by me,” meaning those who don’t stumble, turn away, or lose faith in Him, especially during difficult times or when His actions challenge their expectations, has been a source of consolation for him.

He also explained that his faith is reinforced since his relationship with God is confirmed daily just like when Nicodemus confirmed Jesus mandate according to John 3 vs 2 where describes the Pharisee visiting Jesus at night, acknowledging Jesus as a teacher sent from God because of the miraculous signs He performed, stating, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs You are doing if God were not with him”

The International Prophet also talked about how everybody must align and conform with the laws of the land. He said whoever say or accuse anybody must be ready to prove it before relevant institutions, in his words “we will continue to pray, while we will allow laws to take its due course”.
