Recall that bandits on Monday morning invaded Bethel Secondary School in Maramara Chickun LGA of Kaduna State and abducted scores of students.

The affected secondary school is a boarding school located on the outskirts of Kaduna.

Two soldiers were also said to have been killed as they engaged the bandits in a shootout.

About 26 of the abducted students have reportedly been rescued by the police.

The bandits later contacted the school management where they disclosed that they have 121 students in their custody.

They however assured the school that the abducted students are in good health and not to worry.

The incident is the second abduction in the state within the last 24 hours.

Alleged N5.2b Fraud: Court Remands Ex-JAMB Registrar Ojerinde

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered that a former Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Adedibu Ojerinde be remanded in prison custody.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu, in a ruling on Tuesday, ordered that Ojerinde be kept in a correctional facility pending the hearing of his bail application, scheduled for July 8.

Justice Egwuatu gave the ruling after Ojerinde, dressed in white native attire, was arraigned on an 18-count charge, marked: FHC/ABJ/CR/97/2021, in which he was accused, among others, of complicity in the diversion of public funds estimated at over N5.2billion.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission(ICPC) said Ojerinde committed the alleged offences, contained in the charge, from 2003 when he served as the Registrar of the National Examination Council (NECO) till 2021.

Ojerinde pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him.

His lawyer, Peter Olorunnishola (SAN), subsequently informed the court about a bail application he filed and served on the prosecution.

Olorunnishola however sought time to react to the counter-affidavit filed by the lawyer to the prosecution, Ebenezer Shogunle, which the defence lawyer said was served on him late.

Shogunle, who did not object to Olorunnishola’s request for time, opposed the defence lawyer’s application that his client be allowed to remain on the administrative bail, earlier granted him by the ICPC, pending the hearing of his bail application.

PSC To Promote Sacked EFCC Boss, Ibrahim Magu, Despite ‘Damning’ Panel Report

The Police Service Commission (PSC) is reportedly considering the former acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, for promotion.

According to TheCable, the PSC wants to promote Magu to the rank of assistant inspector-general (AIG).

But the Presidency is said to be worried about the “defiance” of PSC which may create the impression that Ibrahim Magu is being rewarded despite the damning report by a presidential panel on him.

Magu, who was promoted to commissioner of police in 2018, had been recommended for removal as EFCC boss by the Justice Ayo Salami panel, which also asked that he be prosecuted over allegations of abuse of office.

The panel had specifically recommended that Magu should be removed “for failing to properly account for N431,000,000.00 security votes/information fund released to the office of the Executive Chairman of EFCC between November 2015 and May 2020”.

He was also accused of causing “disappearance of evidence, stoppage and suppression of cases under investigation and prosecution, and omitting to arrest suspects” in cases involving a former deputy senate president and a former MD of Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC).

The panel recommended that Magu should be referred to the inspector-general of police for “necessary disciplinary action”.

However, since the panel submitted the report in November 2020, only a few of the recommendations have been implemented.

A new chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, was appointed in February 2021 while several police officers were recalled to the headquarters.

Magu, who has been in limbo since his probe by the panel, is believed to be in the good books of the PSC chairman, Musiliu Smith, a former inspector-general of police from Lagos state.

BELLO INSTALLED AS THE 41ST ROTARY DISTRICT 9110 GOVERNOR, CALLS FOR SERVICE TO CHANGE LIVES.

BELLO INSTALLED AS THE 41ST ROTARY DISTRICT 9110 GOVERNOR, CALLS FOR SERVICE TO CHANGE LIVES.

A past President and Chairman of Council, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Remi Bello has been installed as the Governor, District 9110 of the Rotary Club International, for the year 2021- 2022.
Bello, a Fellow Chartered Accountant, Fellow Chartered Tax Practitioner and member Institute of Directors who was installed as the 41st Governor of the District at a glamorous event which was held in Lagos on Saturday, 3rd July, 2021, in his inaugural address called for more services to change lives.

According to him, the Rotarians and other guests who were at the event, were not for the feast, not to dance and even not to celebrate but to show that they care; that they are willing to join in promoting the Rotary theme for 2021-2022; ‘Serve to Change Lives’.
He said, “we have a lot to do in our communities and society that we all know cannot be left to the government alone, so there is that urgent need to provide support and bridge the gap. Rotary has come to bridge that gap in our human existence by taking action where necessary, although this important step is taken for granted in some other places.”

Speaking on the achievements of the club in the past years, especially in making Nigeria free from polio, Rotarian Bello, said; “I am proud to say we have a living and contemporary evidence of our good work in Nigeria and indeed Africa. On the 25th October, 2020, our country and Africa were declared free from Poliomyelitis that has ravaged our world for so many years. But it is yet to fully abate because we are still having the
deadly virus in two countries: Pakistan and Afghanistan. Eradication of poliomyelitis is just one of the good things Rotary and Rotarians/Rotaractors are doing in our world.

“Let me use this medium to congratulate Rotarians, governments in Nigeria and indeed Nigerians for this life time achievement. If any disease has been eradicated from the face of the earth so far, it is small pox but we are at threshold of making history by making Poliomyelitis the second disease to be completely eradicated in our world. We shall not relent until this is achieved, hence the need for all hands to be on deck.”

Bello, who is also the immediate Past Chairman, Eko Forum, a Federal Government body saddled with the responsibility of reconciling Eko Electricity Distribution Company (Eko Disco) with its Electricity Consumers, while calling on people of goodwill to join the club to render more service to humanity, said, Rotary’s imprint can be seen everywhere in the world.
He declared; “Rotary has also been actively involved in the drive to bring Covid-19 to an end through our advocacy. We champion the cause of peace and world understanding as well as conflict prevention and resolution. We support basic education and literacy, we provide clean water, sanitation and hygiene and attend to maternal and child health issues. We also promote economic and community development, support the environment and several other life changing activities.”
Speaking in the same vein, the Chairman of the occasion, Asiwaju Solomon Onafowokan, OON, encouraged the Rotarians nationwide to continue to initiate and support noble ideas that will continually aid the socioeconomic development of the nation. According to him; “leaders at all spheres in the country should also see the current crisis across the country as opportunity to push for socioeconomic development of the nation in all forms.”
Also speaking at the event, the immediate past Governor of the District, Rotarian Bola Oyebade said despite the ravaging Covid-19 in the outgoing year, the District had in addition of 26 new Rotary Clubs and about 550 new Rotarians.
While congratulating the new Governor in his welcome address, the Chairman Installation Committee, Rotarian Henry Akinyele, gave insight to the purpose of the ceremony, he said; “the installation ceremony has become an annual event, which affords us the opportunity to showcase the level of impacts we are making and those we envision to make in communities around us. It is also a window to share the opportunity with our friends and families to be part of the drive to change lives and derive the everlasting fulfillment in the process.”
The event which was beautifully co- anchored by the delectable actress, Kate Henshaw, Rotarian Ehi Braimah and Comedian Koffi had in attendance top dignitaries from all walks of life which include the Alake of Egbaland, HRM, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, Mr Kola Abiola, Chief (Mrs.) Nike Akande, OON, CON, Mrs Toki Mabogunje & husband and Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi,
Some of the highpoints of the event were flag parade by past District Governors, cutting of Installation Cake and Awards Ceremony.

Exposed! How Powerful Cartel Plots To Frame Prophet Iginla For Kidnap And Multiple Murders ( Video, Pictures)

Exposed! How Powerful Cartel Plots To Frame Prophet Iginla For KIdnap And Multiple Murders ( Video, Pictures)

Plots by a powerful cartel to implicate and set up popular Abuja-based prophet, Prophet Iginla has been exposed.

The information available to us revealed that the syndicate being sponsored by high ranking Pastors have colluded with some ex-staff of Prophet Iginla ministry who were sacked over gross misconduct to rope him with kidnapping and murder of two kids and two women.

We reliably gathered that the cartel hatched the plan to kidnap two kids from the children’s department, kill them and bury them behind the bush in Prophet Iginla’s church, Champions Royal Assembly at Kubwa, Abuja. After the parents of the missing children have reported the missing kids, a lady will be killed too and her friend who allegedly had been paid too would report to the police claiming her late friend’s last port of call was Iginla’s church.

Two days after the report, another lady on their payroll would post her encounter on social media claiming Prophet Iginla threatened to kill her if she didn’t keep the secret to herself. Sadly, unknown to her too, another person had been paid by the cartel to kill her so as to make it look like Iginla did that as claimed by her. This would draw the attention of the police to Champions Royal Assembly where a witness in their payroll would attest to it that he had seen the missing kids in the church before and would lead them to where the kids were buried behind the church.

The plot by the carted is aimed at implicating Prophet Iginla with kidnap and multiple murders. These plots according to them would lead Iginla to jail and the closure of the ministry.

These wicked ploys were exposed by one of the newly employed staff of the ministry ( name withheld for security reasons) who was approached by the cartel to witness against Iginla when their plots are fully hatched.

In a series of chats made available to us, one of the arrowheads of the cartel with a pseudo name called Ebuka Kent, approached the young staff who was just employed a month ago to work for them for N7 million with the promise of flying him to the country of his choice once the dead was done and also pledged to place his parents on a monthly salary of N200,000.

Ebuka initially lured the lad with a mouth-watering offer of N3m as initial payment and a stay in any country of bis choice by their sponsor. The young boy thinking it was a drug business kindly turned down the offer. After much Cajoling, Ebuka opened up to him about the plot by the cartel to frame up Iginla.

The frightened boy who is just 19 years old, sent prophet Iginla an SMS requesting help. Iginla through his PA beckoned on him to see him at his office and that was when he confessed the whole saga to him with the evidence of their chats.

After consultations with a certain senior police officer in Abuja, the lad was advised to play along with them and he called to agreed that he was ready to be part of the cartel but insisted on nothing less than Seven million to carry out their wicked ploy. Ebuka agreed immediately but blocked the lad immediately he requested an initial deposit in cash and not transfer.

Confirming the incident, Iginla openly informed the members about the ungodly moves by so called clergy men and how the plot was exposed.

In his words, Iginla expressed sadness over the evils being perpetrated on the altar.

Furthermore, the young lad too in the video made available confirmed the tale as nothing but the truth .
