Nigerian Mavin record boss, Michael Collins Ajereh, known professionally as Don Jazzy has bowed to pressure and put up a congratulatory message for his long time crush Rihanna over the arrival of her baby boy.

Following the news of Rihanna welcoming a baby with her rapper boyfriend, Don Jazzy made trends on Twitter.

Netizens mocked him that he has finally lost his longtime crush, while using several hilarious memes to portray his current mood.

It is no news that Don Jazzy for a long time yearned for a romantic relationship with Rihanna but all hope was collapsed after she got pregnant for A$AP Rocky

Don Jazzy who seemed obsessed with Rihanna created many loved-up photos of him and the singer and also a visit to the White House claiming he wants to pay Rihanna’s bride’s prize.

Amidst the congratulatory messages online, Don Jazzy took to his Instagram page to share a cute photo of Rihanna and her son.

Don Jazzy who seemed excited with the news wrote: “It’s a boy” accompanied by a dancing emoji.

While some of his followers hailed him for taking a bold step to congratulate Rihanna, others teased him that the baby looks like him.

Auditions have commenced for season seven of the popular reality tv show, Big Brother Naija as eligible Nigerians have been called to participate in the auditioning process.
The announcement of the auditioning for the BB Naija Season 7 which commenced on Sunday, 15th May, 2022 was done on the official Twitter page of the reality TV show.

‘I Avoided His Childishness For My Own Sanity’ – Comedian AY Speaks On Beef With BasketMouth

 

Nigerian comedian cum filmmaker Ayo Makun popularly known as AY has revealed why he’s currently at loggerheads with his colleague Basketmouth.

This comes after a curious fan asked Ay if he was having any issues with the comedian cum singer.

Responding, AY said there are no issues between him and Basketmouth noting that people having unnecessary issues sometimes pay with being progressive in life.

According to AY, his colleague Basketmouth has been battling an uncontrollable superiority complex for a long time.

The father of two who seemed not comfortable with the character of Basketmouth added that avoiding his incessant childishness became necessary for his own sanity.

When pressed further if they do not talk to each other, AY said people only talk to those who want to talk to them.

He said: “I don’t have issues with him. But people having unnecessary issues sometimes pay for being progressive. He has been battling with an uncontrollable superiority complex for the longest. So avoiding his incessant childishness only became necessary for my own sanity. We only talk to those who want to talk to us. Does this make sense?”

 

 

“Bigger Than Africa” Set to debut On NETFLIX May 13th 2022

 

A cultural documentary, “Bigger Than Africa” featuring some foremost and prominent Yoruba culture enthusiasts and traditional leaders which include, the Ooni of Ife, the Alaafin of Oyo, the Alaketu of Ketu, King of Port Novo, President Olusegun Obasanjo, Prof Wole Soyinka, Prof. Wande Abimbola, Chief Mrs. Nike Okundaye, Fayemi Elebuibon, Femi Kuti amongst others, is set to debut on Friday, May 13, 2022 on global streaming platform, Netflix.

The documentary produced by Motherland Productions is directed by Nigerian born Los Angeles based filmmaker, Toyin Ibrahim Adekeye, who is also the founder of Motherland Productions USA.

 

The well researched documentary will expose the international audience to the historical influence of Yoruba culture and how it transcends continents and connects the Black diaspora.

Film synopsis:
“When the Slave ships docked in North America, Brazil and the Caribbean, hundreds of cultures, traditions, and religions landed with Africans on board. One transcended slavery beyond imagination to remain alive till this day in the new world; the culture of the Yoruba’s.”

In this regard, Bigger Than Africa Documents the journey of enslaved Africans through the lens of the Yoruba culture of West Africa. This historical documentary takes you through 6 countries, Brazil, Cuba, Nigeria, Trinidad & Tobago, The Republic of Benin and The United States.

“I hope it becomes a unifying documentary for all people of African descent irrespective of their countries. It’s a film that uniquely tells the stories of our commonalities rather than our differences.” Said the director of the film, Toyin Ibrahim Adekeye.

One of the celebrated faces in the entertainment world, Actress Juliet Ibrahim has opened up on a terrible experience she underwent in the hands of her ex.

The fun-loving and down-to-earth, Ghanaian actress who is very popular in Nollywood shared her ordeal with an abusive partner in a a chat with media personalty, Chude Jideonwo.

The actress cum producer narrated how her ex-lover would often force his way with her and lock her in for days.

She, however, did not reveal the identity of her former lover. “I told him what he did was rape and he said but we were in a relationship,” the Ghanaian actress said.

“But was I ready, that was the question, did I say I was in the mood? I kept saying no, stop it, stop it, you pin me down and you’re doing whatever you wanted to do and you’re smiling saying don’t worry. And you’re kissing whilst I’m crying, that means you’re a rapist and I had to leave that relationship. I fought my way out of that relationship because he even locked me up in his house for days until my sister Sonia came to find me.

“I was scared, uncertain of what to do because this guy was huge and taller than me. He can raise you above the wall. And just imagine that it was every day. Every day, he wanted to do something. That is rape. You’re naive. Who do you go and tell? Who would come and fight for you? But ladies you can report it now, go and report. If your husband is forcing you to do when you’re not in the mood it is rape and I tell these men that you cannot force a woman,” she said.

Award winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy, has been blessed by a female fan underwear as he performed at his ‘One Night In Space’ concert in Madison Square Garden, New York.
The Afrobeat singer is seen holding a red brassiere as he performs in the concert.

He goes ahead to thank the fan who gave it to him while asking that they give him more of their lingerie.

Accepting his demands, some female fans went ahead to hand him more brassiere.

Burna Boy is the first Nigerian artiste to headline New York’s prestigious Madison Square Garden which has a seating capacity of 20,789.

Burna recently opened up on the reason he believes no woman is capable of loving him.

The singer expressed his love for his grandmother via his Twitter account maintaining that she is the reason he believes no woman is capable of loving him.

“She’s the reason I don’t believe any girl loves me.

Nigerian Music Legend Orlando Julius Is Dead

 

Veteran Nigerian Highlife musician, Orlando Julius Olusanya Ekemode, better known as Orlando Julius, has died.
It was gathered that the saxophonist, who hailed from Ijebu Ijesha in Osun state, died at 3am on Friday at the age of 79 years.

His death was confirmed in a Facebook post by the Managing Director of Evergreen Music, Bimbo Esho.

Esho wrote: “Bimbo Daddy Has Passed On…

“This was the message I stumbled on waking up at exactly 3am to peruse my watsapp page. It was a message sent in to me by Orlando Julius beautiful and supportive wife Lady Latoya.

“Orlando Julius a native of Ijebu Ijesha succumbed to the cold hands of death and breathed his last few hours ago at the age of 79.

“We shall miss one of Nigeria’s fathers of Afro/Highlife Music, a gentleman and a fine Saxophonist.

“May daddy Orlando Julius soul journey well. To the entire Ekemode family may God give you the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.”

Orlando Julius was a veteran internationally recorgnised Highlife singer.

He will be remembered for many of his hits songs among which is Jagur Nana, Ololufe, too mention a few.

Nollywood star, Funke Akindele-Bello has opened up on the reason she keeps her sons’ faces hidden.
Speaking in a recent interview on TVC, the actress stated that she wants her children to live their own lives without the public judging them by the standard of their parents.

She maintained that when they become adults they can decide to show their faces to the world but as children, she would rather keep their faces hidden and protected.

Nigerian Rapper MI Abaga Unviels Lover, Fixes wedding date

 

Society gazette reports Nigerian rapper, MI Abaga has announced he will be getting married in 2022.

 

M.I disclosed this on his Instagram page on Sunday.

 

The 41-year-old rapper also revealed that he met his wife-to-be, Eniola in December 2020.

 

His post read: “I’m a private person. But it’s time to share a little part of my joy with you.

“@eniolamafe and I met in Dec3’ 2020 and straight away I knew I had found the one.

“ I am excited to announce that we are getting married this year and we ask for your support and blessings as we embark on this journey.”
