How I Got The Fund To Build Our Multi-Billion Naira 80,000 Capacity Church – Prophet Joshua Iginla Reveals

The General Overseer of Champions Royal Assembly, Prophet Joshua Iginla who is billed to dedicate the record-breaking auditorium on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021 has made some revelations about how funding for the massive building of his 80,000-capacity church came about. In an interview session, yesterday with veteran Journalist, Femi Oyewale, Prophet Joshua Iginla who wasn’t very specific due to reasons best known to him admitted that the massive edifice cost him billions of naira which were not part of the church offering or loans from the bank. Rather, the money came from some of his personal business.

While speaking on how he got the vision to build such an edifice, He revealed that apart from being a man of God, He is into a modern agriculture, massive real estate, cryptocurrency, to the surprise of many.

‘’One of the thing God has done for him is I don’t need noise, sometimes some people ask questions of where I am coming from, some even think I am using something, they have syndicated so many things in the internet about me because of my speed.

Truly, I am a barrier breaker and a line crosser. if someone has not come to this church, he or she will not know how big this cathedral is. We were talking with the engineers and they said church is above 100,000 but for the purpose of comfort, we have to reduce it to 80,000. We have provisions for elevator, this church is a mind blowing one. We have hectares of land that are yet to be attended to. Talking about the amount of money I have spent, I don’t want to put myself into trouble, Billions and billions, its not a child’s play.

Just in the past three months to prepare for this official dedication, we have spent over N400 Milliion, so many pastors see me and think I am doing a money ritual.

When we were building, I remember some bank managers came to me and offered to borrow me some money, I laughed and told them there is no need for that. I’m worth more than whatever they want to loan me.

So many people wonder where I get all the money from, of a truth, so many religious leaders are deceptive and untrue to their followers. You cannot make the money of the gospel from offering and tithes. Someone like me, I give 90% of what God has put in my palms to enhance the church. I don’t go near the offering and tithes of the church, what can it do for me? I make my boast in the Lord, by the grace of God, I am what I am today by deploring my wisdom to make money, you don’t pray down money, you rain down money so if you don’t understand how to make money, you become poor throughout your lifetime.

I run a big modern agriculture firm, I am into real estate in a big-time way, I do a lot of businesses, I am into transportation, cars selling, I run trading firm, I am not ashamed to say that. I am so happy, I’m into foreign exchange, cryptocurrency, I’m bouncing into oil now, and of course, I have partners whom God has raised for me. Interestingly, some of the people God has used for me are from the other religion, I have friends from the Arab world who are so blessed and know how to give. Sometimes I am a lover of muslims, they give to the gospel. I’m not anti-Islam. What I am saying is the gospel can be financed by anybody, the bible say you will eat the riches of the gentiles’’

The 80,000 Capacity building called the city of wonders will be dedicated on Sunday, 23rd of May, 2021 and the man of God revealed that it was built within 13 months. He spoke on what inspired it and How God gave him a divine mandate for it.

‘1992, God gave me a vision about this building, 1996 it became clearer, in 2007, God brought more greater portion of this vision to me. When we were moving from old church building, we still have it and it’s so big. We had overflow that we couldn’t contain the crowd, then we had members parking cars all over, infact the neighborhood were getting angry, bursting the tyres of some of our members, I started buying over some of their properties, it was very big/

One day I was lying down, and the Lord told me it is time to build for him an auditorium, and he showed me in 1992, 1996, 2007, and promised to bring the provision.

It’s not because we want to show off, it was not an act of competition but necessity to the provision of the divine mandate. When its becomes a divine mandate, the provision will be made. There was no dime that was borrowed from the bank, we built this place in 13 months, we should have done the dedication but due to what happened in 2019, I had to take my time’

Sex Work Made Me A Better Mum Than Church Upbringing – Pastor Turned Stripper Says

An American pastor who has become a stripper says her new job has given her the life skills that have made her a better parent.
Nikole Mitchell, who was born and bred in a baptist family in Ohio, US, was said to have become very religious in her 20s – spending six years not even kissing a man as she said, “Jesus was my boyfriend”.

According to Nikole, she started evaluating her sexuality when she decided to change her career from a pastor to a stripper.

She now says she believes her career change is giving her children a far better start in life than they would have had if she remained religious.

“[We have] All kinds of conversations and equipping them with tools that I was never equipped with as a kid growing up,” she said.

“It is now so important to me now as a mum to teach my kids these things so they have these skills for a life time, for dating, relationships, for their working environment for who they become, whatever they end up doing these are life skills everyone needs.

“I would say my work has prepared me and helped me with that better than anything else in my life.”

Nikole admitted she “had a lot of fear” leaving religion, as she worried her kids would “go mad” at her for missing out on the “community” of the church.

“Are they going to feel ashamed of me, are they going to be mad at me for embarrassing them with the internet content, all the fears that you can think of, I have thought about them a million times more than any other person?”

But having seen other people be porn stars and have children, she spoke with the pornstars and from it was the right move for her

“Now I am where I am, I feel that not only my sense of sexuality but the sex work I do is so much healthier than this sex mindset that I grew up with in the church,” she said.

“So I think that the most toxicity you can have about sexuality, sex, bodies, can come from the kind of church that I came from aond I remember looking at the big picture and thinking I’m giving my kids a much better gift.”

Now the former pastor earns around £70,000.

Imposition Of Monarch Not Part Of Our Tradition, Says Oloto Royal Family

The Oloto Royal Family of Iddo and Lagos Mainland recently urged politicians to stay away from their king-making process, adding that the imposition of monarchs on kingdoms by politicians is allien to their culture and tradition.
The call was made by chiefs of the ruling houses at a recent meeting held in Lagos.
Present were Chief Mohammed Bashir Ayinla Akinola, the Odofin Oba and Secretary of Oloto Royal Family;  Chief Lamina K. Akinlolu, the Ojomo Oba and Head Baalo Ruling House; Chief Jubril Adebayo Oloto, the Aro Oba and Head of Olupejobi Ruling House, and Chief Shamusideen Adisa Pedro, the Eletu Oba and Head of Eru-Ifa Ruling House, all representatives of the three ruling house of The Oloto Royal Family of Iddo and Lagos Mainland.
The chiefs revealed that their call for politicians to stay away from their affairs follows speculations of an attempt by some very powerful persons in Lagos State to impose a monarch on the kingdom following the death of the last King, Oba Ganiyu Okeyide Odesanya who reigned between 1990 and 2016.
A statement signed by the Secretary of the ruling houses said “We are dismayed that persons are trying to impose a candidate  from Olupejobi ruling house, which produced the past Oba.”
The statement further said “the act is not only against the culture and traditions of the Oloto Royal Family practised over six centuries ago, but against the express provisions of the aforementioned declaration which is an official record of the government of Lagos State.”
Chief Jubril Adebayo Oloto, the Aro Oba and Head of Olupejobi Ruling House while speaking noted that prior to the installation of Oba Okeyide Odesanya, the chiefs, kingmakers, branch heads and entire Oloto Royal Family identified three ruling houses in Otto namely Olupejobi, Baalo, and Eru-Ifa Ruling houses, with succession to the throne to rotate from Olupejobi through Baalo to Eru-Ifa ruling houses.
He further noted that the attempt at imposing a candidate on the kingdom is against the  express declaration of late Oba Okeyide Odesanya whose wish  and declaration was that a person from Baalo ruling house should succeed him.
According to him, the move to impose a candidate from the ruling house which produced the last Oba is one which if allowed to succeed will breed problems in Otto and distort the peaceful co-existence of the people in the area.
He thus urged people who are not familiar with the culture and tradition of the kingdom to halt their attempt at causing unrest with their planned imposition of a candidate outside the ruling house who is supposed to produce the next monarch, adding that the ruling houses are capable of handling their affairs.

MORE PROBLEMS FOR MAUREEN BADEJO AS AN AUSTRIA COURT PREPARES JUDGEMENT

The end of a matter is always sweet when the truth is revealed. I have always said that darkness cannot overcome the light, Maureen Badejo entered into a battle with the battle axe of God and was hoping to win because she was fed information by ignorant people and rogue pastors who thought they could use her to tannish MFM pastors and the ministry as a whole, but now she is reaping the dividends of all hers GIO TV YOUTUBE AND FACEBOOK MAD DOG DAYS.

The storms that she whipped up for herself carelessly, through her broadcasts on GIO TV are set to become worse with the anticipated judgment of an Austria Court.

Maureen Badejo had characteristically made, broadcast, and published highly defamatory statements about Pastor and Mrs. Omowanile, an MFM Pastor in Austria.

She chose to ignore a cease-and-desist letter served on her by Lawyers to the Omowanile’s on 11th September 2020 and continued with the defamation of the couple which prompted them to issue and serve her with lawsuit papers in December 2020 which she, again, characteristically ignored.

In their bid to obtain legal vindication and bring closure to several months of harrowing emotional distress occasioned them by Maureen’s malicious falsehoods, the Omowanile’s have filed for judgment in the Austrian Court.

Expectedly, when the hammer falls, Maureen will take up and play her usual antics of denying service of the court processes but if she walks that path again, she would be reminded that she had in one of her broadcasts attempting to deny service of processes in the Nigeria Case, expressly admitted knowledge of the existence of cases in the UK, USA, and Austria against her.

Let the travails of Maureen Badejo serve as a lesson to every blogger and attention seeker that Social Media grandstanding is a far cry from legal realities and that sooner than later the chickens will definitely come home to roost.
I will keep you posted with developments on this unfolding debacle.

Opinion: IBADAN, Honour to the undeserving By Wole Arisekola

According to an American lawyer and politician, who served as the 30th president of the United States from 1923 to 1929; Calvin Coolidge, said ‘no person was ever honoured for what he received but honour has been reward for what he gave.’

All over the world, conferment of chieftaincy titles on deserving personalities is a way of expressing gratitude for impactful gestures of individuals that have through their magnanimity and benevolence benefited the awarding community whereby gratefulness of the people is bestowed on the beneficiaries of such titles in recognition of their irrefutable impacts with anticipation of continued purposeful living to further enhance the lots of the title awarding community.

Invariably, for conferment of chieftaincy to be worth the while, there must be convincing evidence of the presence and stupendous proofs of positive influence of title beneficiary widely felt and appreciated by the members of the title awarding community, otherwise, such titles become a scam.
The above depicts is the current trend in the award of Chieftaincy titles by the exalted throne in Ibadanland, Oyo State of Nigeria.

Chieftaincy titles come in different worths and diverse values. Some may be taken for granted while others must worth the status. The title “Agba Oye”, which refers to “High Chief”, is supposed to be preserved for an individual of perpetual influence who has grown through the ranks relentlessly providing shoulders for others to learn on and bringing widespread soccur to all and sundry remaining unwavering and unflinching in his positive impacts on the community over time without being found wanting over a reasonable length of time.

The Late Chief Harry Ayoade Akande, the immediate past Agba-Oye of Ibadanland, was known for enormous wealth. He lived in extreme affluence with a record of being rated one of the richest black men ever lived but never had any conspicuous impact on the community that awarded him with one of the most revered titles of the land.

As they say, once bitten, twice shy. If the most prestigious title of Ibadanland was given in error in the past, caution ought to be taken to avert the repeat of such a gaffe. A deserving personality for the esteemed title of Agba Oye of any community ought to be a man with a household name in the community with convincing impact and evidence of kind gesture is felt and acknowledged by all and sundry in the community.

Late Mufutau Ajadi Lanihun of blessed memory was never a big title holder but his name resonated with philanthropy, care for the downtrodden and peerless love for Ibadanland. Such is the worth of an individual deserving of a respected title in Ibadanland.

Curiously, the recent installation of Engr. Kola Karim as the new Agba Oye of Ibadanland leaves some questions unanswered – Who is Kola Karim in the social, religious, communal and philanthropic spheres of Ibadanland? What has been his credence in the Ibadan traditional council, his contributions to societal development of Ibadan city, his evidence of impactful living among the downtrodden not to talk of ingenious associations, the Olubadan palace itself and the central council of Ibadan Indigenes?

The Ibadanland ought to have outgrown ‘titles for sale syndrome’ whereby only the highest bidder takes the weighty honour of the land. This makes titles become cash and carry.

Conversly, the award of the revered title of Agba-Oye of Ibadanland puts the beneficiary of the title under spotlight to prove his worth as deserving of the title, otherwise the title is considered awarded in error.

Consequently, in order to redress the hideous trend, all concerned stakeholders and prominent sons and daughters of Ibadanland must be involved in the selection process of whoever is deserving of titles from the exalted throne of Olubadan since title holders are not only subjects to the Kabiyesi but also have the sanctity of Ibadanland to preserve and the interests of all and sundry in Ibadan to protect.

Aare Wole Arisekola writes from Ibadan.
